Transition Tales:The amazing Wynn Alice will arrive at the Festival as the 12th stop on her 6 month tour of Britain listening to, telling and collecting tales. At the festival she will co-create a tale of the land, the festival, the people: a Transition Tale; she will also run a Transition Tales workshop and tell a story (probably from her amazing journey!) and talk about Transition Tales. Emerson College School of Storytelling: Founded in 1994 the School of Storytelling is the longest running centre of its kind where the craft of the storyteller is taught, practised, performed and honoured. Here stories come alive and serve performers, healers, teachers, the business world, the environment and the wider community. Whether an experienced teller or a novice to the art, everyone is welcome here. The School will offer taster workshops, stories and literature at the Festival. www.schoolofstorytelling.com
Other organisations helping to develop the festival include: Teignbridge District Council; Exeter City Council; Devon County Council; Dartmoor National Park Authority. We are also hoping to have pre-Festival performances in parks, libraries and the Phoenix Arts Centre, Exeter, and a post-Festival performance at the Great Hall, Dartington.
