Festival time has arrived, along with a flurry of extra storytellers, including Nicola Grove who does amazing work around story and disability, and former Totnes resident and dynamic teller, Jamie Crawford.
The weather forecast is mixed, so bring a brolly. Fortunately our new site has plenty of great dry venues in close proximity with good paths linking them.

Way Out West sums up the array of talent we have this year. A Wild West contingent of American mytho-poets are led by the legendary Robert Bly. ‘Way Out’ describes some of the best British tellers including Robin Williamson, Ben Haggarty and Ashley Ramsden. Plus the best of the Westcountry is represented by accomplished tellers, poets and musicians.

Not only have we moved to the mellow and fruitful time when late summer meets early autumn, we have also found a site to match in the historic estate of Dartington Hall.
This will be our 6th Storytelling festival, when the rolling Westcountry hills echo with the oral tradition of tales, fables, music and poetry. Read more >
