In a time when so many stories come through media technology, our purpose is to bring alive the magic and presence of the spoken word. The oral tradition connects us to our ancestors and a time before the written word. The immediacy of Once upon a time instantly grabs children the world over. The festival offers this enchanting and powerful experience to everyone, for the old stories were not written for children, they were told for the whole community and there is distilled wisdom in them about our lives and our connection to the natural world.
The safe, family-friendly festival site conjures up a relaxed sense of creative revelry. There is minimal amplified sound, but maximum inspiration, laughter and boisterous fun. Join us to create a sense of community and kindle passion for change!
